Alright, this card was made specifically for a girl at work. I knew when her birthday was coming up, I had to make a card with purses!

I saw a card similar on Splitcoast and knew it was perfect!! I had these clear plastic dimensional things (not quite sure what they are called or where I even got them!) so stamped the purses and put a rhinestone on each one and put the clear case on…to resemble a window. I threw a “special” sign in it also…who loves a sale on purses!!

Honestly, the hardest thing with this card was lining up the words on the stamp. stamping each word to make it fit….yikes!

Well, I hope she likes it!!

I just love this card. Don’t know if it is the cute frogs or just the bright colors in general. After making fall and Christmas cards, I enjoyed bringing out some bright, fun colors!!

Despite the blah picture, I used Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise. The frogs are in Lucky Limeade. I cut one out and used a dimensional to make him pop!!

I embossed the Limeade paper with dots to go with the background paper and the dots on the swirls under the frogs. I think it really pulls the card together!

Pulled out some retired paper today. While trying to be more organized, I don’t know the name of the paper pack this was in, but I think it works well here.

I like the look of the chipboard letters. Keeps it fresh and cool. :h,b and u” are glittery and fun.

I curled up the end of the mini square paper to give it another dimension.

It’s a Girl!!

I was very excited to make a card for a co-worker. She is pregnant with a baby girl and we are all excited!

Here is the card I made for her…

I kept it “baby girl” with Pretty in Pink and Very Vanilla paper, ribbon and pearls.

I pulled out my Big Shot to emboss the body of the card and various punches to make it come to life.

The picture is slightly blurry and I am sorry. It is so sweet and adorable in person and I know she will love it!!

Christmas Paper Curl Wreath (w/directions!)

When I posted a picture of my paper wreath on Facebook, I was asked by many for the directions…

So here you go!!!

Supplies needed:

12 inch foam wreath
Pencil
Pins
6 sheets of 12×12 double sided paper cut into 1/2inch strips

Directions:

wrap one strip around the pencil
pin to the wreath
continue until all strips are gone

Yes, SERIOUSLY!! It is that simple!!

Here is the finished one I made for work

Now I am going to work on mine from home (using the strips shown in the first picture) I will post a picture when done!!

Keeping Christmas organized

It is that time of year…you know when you have a gazzillion lists going…”what gifts you want to get”, “what gifts you already got”, Christmas card lists, ect.

Well, once I saw this great book by Kelly Goree, I knew I wanted to create one for my ever-growing lists.

I simply cut white cardstock to put inside to keep my holiday organized. As usual, I don’t have any rings so at the time, I simply tied ribbon to keep it together…

I used supplies I had on hand to make this. I love how my glimmer brads make it sparkle! I even found a use for the little bells I had! Honestly, the thing that took the longest was getting the white twine wrapped just so around the brads to pull the “tree” together!

I love how it turned out!

Your {first} birthday

Well I am slowly catching up on my boys’ scrapbooks. Here is Al’s first birthday (come on…he only just turned 5…I am not that behind!)
His theme for his first bday was Construction…I pulled out some retired SU paper and miscellaneous stickers and supplies for these pages. Beacuse I had so many pictures I wanted to add, I made a double layout. Kept it pretty simple and I popped up a few pictures to give it some dimension.
I think one of my favotire pictures that I knew I wanted to add to the page is the one I highlighted in the yellow measuring tape sticker…How cute that he is showing us he is one!! HEE HEE!

I think the most exciting thing for me was being able to FINALLY use the nuts and bolts eyelets I have had for 10 years…YES 10 YEARS~~~

Yeah, it is definitely the little things that keep us scrappers excited, huh!!?

First Christmas as Brothers!

I was so excited to finally get some scrapbooking done last week. Now I have to really get moving on how to take good pictures. I spent almost every day this week trying to get my camera and lighting to work.

Not only was this Al’s first Christmas but also Chris’ first Christmas as a brother! I just love this picture and wanted that to be the focal point, so I made this page quite simple. Some great pattern paper and some sparkly red paper was all it needed!

Snowman name tags!

Simply, I love crafting. and I love to craft for others, whether they place an order for handmade items or I make as gifts. Either way, the recipients are always thankful and love their “gift”

Because I can’t leave well enough alone, I am back with new name tags for my co-workers. The beach themed ones were such a hit, I couldn’t wait for a winter theme.

I had many ideas in my head. I knew I wanted something that would last a few months.

I was pulling out my snowflake Big Shot die when the Top Note die fell out. I instantly remembered seeing a snowman made with it and WHOOOOO-LA…the PERFECT idea came to mind.

Snowmen would be perfect. They could last until February/March!!

I first stared by cutting out enough Top Notes in white. I then embossed many colors (purple and blue showing here) and then cut with Top Note. I half the colors in half horizontally and the other half vertically. To make the rim of the hat (blue in picture) I trimmed the vertical cut and used a corner rounder. I simply punched out some black circles and popped on with glue dots and added a nose. Because it can get supper chilly here in NE, I added a soft dot of pink for the cheeks.

OH and WAIT!! I couldn’t bring something to work without a little “bling” for my boss…so punched out some Champagne glitter paper with my snowflake punch to finish it off!

I am pretty certain my co-workers will all like the new additions coming to their cubicles soon!!

I know I haven’t posted in a while but YIKES…had no idea it was that long ago…That just goes to prove how my hours turn into days that turn into months…SO SO SORRY~

I just love the fall…the cooler weather, football, the smells and most of all, the COLORS!

I pulled out one of my favorite fall stamp sets, Fallen Leaves for this card. I love the green and orange and the little bit of twine wrapped around each leaf!!

To finish it off, I added one of the SU wood buttons!

There are many layers to this card and not sure if you can see them all.

I thought the statement “Grateful” was perfect but inking the other stamp in the set with just “for all you do” would add just the extra!
